Abbey Clancy has revealed her footballer-turned podcast host husband Peter Crouch sleeps on a separate single mattress on the floor while three of their four children share their bed.

The 35 year old model opened up on some of the challenges they face as a large family during her first ever appearance on ITV lunchtime programme Loose Women on Wednesday.

Admitting their sleeping arrangements were a situation that wouldn't work for "most people," Abbey, 35, explained the details to the presenting panel.

“I had two cots in the bedroom for Johnny, [three], and Jack [two]," the celebrity personality said. "Now Jack’s in his own bedroom – Liberty, [six], sleeps in with us and Johnny.

“We’ve had to put a single mattress on the floor next to the bed, so in the middle of the night Pete sleeps on that, but his head and feet are on the floor.

“I kind of like it in a weird way," Abbey laughed, but added that her 10 year old daughter Sophia doesn’t "come in anymore".

The star went on to say that amidst the chaos she loves her happy family, but it doesn't mean she and Peter, 40, who recently said having four kids was a "ridiculous decision", will be trying for a fifth baby anytime soon.

"We’ve got three kids in the bed, so there’s no chance of baby number five," Abbey insisted.

"If we have another hotel stay, we’re asleep by 10pm so I think we can guarantee there’ll be no more babies!” the star added, referring to their 10 year anniversary when the couple decided to cancel their gourmet chef last minute and grab a KFC instead.

"[We] had KFC on the balcony and watched the tennis and was asleep by 10pm," Abbey gushed over their untraditional but romantic hotel stay in London.

"Really boring but we loved it, getting that full night’s sleep with no kids in the bed. It was great," the mum-of-four enthused.

Abbey also made sure to give Strictly stars – including Loose Women's Judi Love, who is competing in this year’s series – some advice.

Having won the glitter ball trophy back in 2013, Abbey shared: “Enjoy every minute of it. I loved it. It was something I originally didn’t want to do, but from day one I had the Strictly bug.

“Christine [Lampard], you know what it’s like. It was incredible – the whole experience. For me, I’m not a person to go on the treadmill and run, I want to be learning a skill with exercise.

“It was incredible to be listening to music, dancing and everyone was in a good mood constantly. It was a really great time. Be yourself, enjoy it, [and] don’t take it too seriously,” the model finished.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub
