Anne-Marie and Graziano crowned winners of Strictly Christmas special

‘You smashed it!’ Fans praise Anne-Marie as she is crowned winner of Strictly Christmas special after getting a perfect score with her Cha-cha-cha

Fans praised Anne-Marie on Saturday evening after she was crowned the winner of the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

The singer, 30 took home the festive Glitterball trophy, beating out competition from Moira Stewart, Adrian Chiles, Mel Giedroyc, Fred Sirieux, Jay Blades and Adrian Chiles.

She and her partner Graziano Di Prima wowed with their incredible Cha-cha-cha and managed to bag a whopping 40 out of 40 points.

Craig Revel Horwood called the performance: ‘Fab-u-lous!’ 

When they were announced as the winners, Anne-Marie couldn’t believe her luck, saying: ‘I didn’t hear my name then, I’m so happy. He wanted it so bad as well, I’m so happy.’ 

Graziano said: ‘For me it’s been an honour. Since the first day I met her, I’ve done my best she’s done her best and from that hard work, here we are.’

Before the performance Anne- Marie said: ‘I am about 15 million per cent excited. If it all goes wrong, I may just whack out a song quickly and hope that that gets me a few points but I’m trying hard, I’m learning so much.’

Meanwhile, First Dates star Fred did a great quickstep with his dance partner Dianne Buswell to Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin’ Stevens whilst Adrian Chiles tackled an American Smooth to Otis Redding’s White Christmas with dancer Jowita Przystal. 

Moira danced the salsa with Aljaz Skorjanec to Justin Bieber’s Santa Claus Is Coming To Town whilst The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades did a jive to Only Fools And Horses track, Hooky Street.

Former Bake Off presenter Mel Giedroyc and Neil Jones managed to also get a perfect score for their Couple’s Choice to Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby.

The studio audience voted for their favourite and their votes were combined with the judges’ scores to decide the winner following all of the routines.
