Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga ‘deserve love’, says co-star amidst romance rumours

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are two single people 'who deserve love', says one of their A Star Is Born co-stars.

RuPaul's Drag Race star Shangela witnessed the chemistry between 44-year-old Cooper and singer Gaga, 33, when he filmed his part in the award winning movie.

With both their relationships coming to an end within weeks of each other, Shangela has said they are two people 'that deserve to find love'.

There have been rumours abound that Cooper's close friendship with Gaga was one of the issues that led to his split from supermodel Irina Shayk.

Gaga has denied that anything happened with Cooper but Shangela has hailed the 'all inclusive' environment they created on set, where 'creatives' could flourish.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Variety and Mercedes-Benz Power of Pride event in New York City on Monday, Shangela shared his thoughts on whether Cooper and Gaga should now hook up.

He told them: "Look, A Star Is Born at the root is a passionate love story and these two people deserve love.

"So, wherever they find it, I’m like, ‘Hallelujah, ya’ll better get it!”

The on-screen romance that Cooper and Gaga portrayed has been very close to some of their public performances since and Shangela believes that the environment in which the film was created help produce the closeness.

Shangela said: "First of all, everyone on that set felt like family, to be very honest.

"I mean, I shot all of my scenes probably in a total of four days but they were so phenomenal in creating this amazing, inclusive, nurturing environment that they were all like, ‘Alright, we’re here to work and let’s do this’ but we could have never imagined how big it would be."

He said the conviction of Cooper and Gaga's performances were a benchmark to which the rest of the cast aspired.

Shangela continued: "The both of them are really great actors, so when you see them on screen, they have this kinetic energy where you’re just like ‘I live for them. I live for their love.’

"But they’re professionals and they just, of course, made everyone else feel like, ‘If they’re gonna give a hundred, I’m gonna do the same thing.’"

While any thoughts of romance have been quashed by the under-fire pair, Shangela was adamant that if they did hook up and go down the aisle, he had one request on the big day.

He joked: "Look, I just wanna catch the bouquet!"
