In a recent interview with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM, Canadian superstar Bryan Adams recalled working with KISS on the song “War Machine.”
KISS had “asked me to come down and meet with them and maybe help out on some other songs,” Adams recalled, referencing their collaborative efforts on the band’s 1982 album, Creatures of the Night.
“Gene [Simmons] had a guitar riff, but he didn’t have a song,” Adams continued, adding that although he found the guitar riff to be “pretty cool,” it was only later in Vancouver, whilst working with cowriter Jim Vallance, that he came up with the song “War Machine,” with a “live context in mind.”
Trunk then confirmed to Adams that the band has continued to play the song during their live shows, to which he responded by saying that he is “glad to hear that it worked out.”
