Emmerdale star Charley Webb, 33, has revealed she forgot to confirm with her eldest son Buster’s new school that he wanted to enrol with them when she received his acceptance letter. The mum-of-three opened up about her blunder in view of her 501,000 Instagram followers this afternoon, as she addressed the moment she realised she had missed her 10-year-old’s application deadline.
Speaking in a candid video, Charley quipped: “So mother of the year continues on the school front.
“I got a phone call on Thursday saying, Oh, hi, we haven’t heard about Buster and his school place and if he wants it and the deadline was today’.
“And I was like, What deadline, what are you even talking about?’”
The Debbie Dingle star, who also shares sons Ace, one, and Bowie, five, with her husband Matthew Wolfenden, went on to explain she got carried away when she saw Buster had a place in school that she didn’t read the letter carefully enough.

She continued: “So basically, when we got the letter, I read the first sentence that he’d got in and got so overexcited that I did then go back and read the letter.
“But because I was so overwhelmed and happy that we didn’t have to appeal, I just failed to store the information in my brain.
“So he nearly lost his place in school and the schools around where we live are so, so difficult to get into.
“So I don’t know what I would have done.”
Referencing her previous error with Bowie’s primary school application, Charley said: “So Bowie, I never applied to primary school and Buster, I nearly lost him his high school place.
“I don’t really know what’s wrong with me.
“I don’t know how to keep information in my brain.”
Charley then sighed and added: “Just terrible parenting!”

It comes after the soap star revealed she had sought medical advice for a pain in her breast.
Charley began in a candid Instagram post last month: “How is everybody? This week feels like it’s really dragging.
“Anyway, I went to the doctor’s last week because I’ve been having this pain in my boob.
“I know it’s really personal but I wanted to talk about it because I put it off for ages.”
She continued: “I was referred to the hospital to go and get a scan. Touch wood everything is OK, and I went to the hospital again yesterday.
“I kept putting it off because I was worried about going to the [doctors] for anything at the moment, with everything that is going on.”
Fortunately, the actress went on to reassure her fans that her test results were fine in another post.
“So many lovely messages,” Charley gushed about the response to her video, before revealing that she had confused a few people, who thought she was still waiting for the results.
“I think I confused a few people, ‘cause actually my results were fine. ‘Touch wood,’ is what I was saying, but this Instagram family – I just love.”
