This Morning host Eamonn Holmes has admitted feeling “a bit lost”, as he is not fronting a television show today. The 60-year-old presenter made his comments while the world awaits the results of the 2020 US election.

Eamonn took to Instagram in the early hours of the morning while watching the live coverage, to express his love for all things “Americana”.

He posted a picture of himself in a Stetson hat to illustrate his point, in view of his 692,000 followers.

Alongside the image, which was made to look like a drawing with the use of a filter, he wrote: “Have always had an attraction to things Americana.

“And have always felt as comfortable in a Stetson as I do in a Studio,” he added.

“Feel a bit lost though not being involved in any broadcasts tomorrow,” Eamonn went on to say.

Today is the day the US election results are due to be announced as Donald Trump takes on Joe Biden in the presidential race.

Eamonn, who only presents This Morning one day a week, is not due back in the studio until Friday to host the show.

“I just can’t understand why you are not on some news programmes daily, Fridays are too long to wait,” one fan wrote in the comments section of his post.

“Yes Friday’s aren’t enough. You should have your own chat show. You always have me in stitches. Would love to see you on I’m a celeb or strictly (cause we all know you’ve got the moves),” another followers added.

“You watching the American votes coming in too Eamonn?” a third social media user asked, to which he replied: “I sure am M’am ….”

“Vote for Eamonn, to be on our tv MORE,” a four fan remarked.
