As it approaches 10 years since the Newcastle gang burst onto our screens, MTV are reportedly gearing up to film an anniversary special of Geordie Shore in Colombia to commemorate the occasion.
However, this has now been thrown into chaos, as some of the cast members are said to be wanting to quit because they do not want to have to quarantine for 20 days.
The UK's new quarantine laws mean that the cast will have to self-isolate in a hotel for ten days when they reach Colombia, and another ten days when they head home to the UK.
A source told The Sun: "It's caused utter chaos and the cast have all kicked off – some are threatening to quit over it.

"The thing is, it's almost added a month onto the job and while it will be fun to film, it means some of them have had to cancel important jobs and won't be able to see their boyfriend and gilfriends for an extra two weeks after being away for filming.
"Everyone wants to make the series happen but it's a nightmare with all the new rules and keeping everyone safe," the insider explained.
After being axed from Geordie Shore in 2018, former cast member Scotty T is said to be in talks to return for the anniversary special.
The source continued: "Scotty is in talks to return to the show – the UK team and the cast especially would love to have him back but the problem is that MTV's US team are worried about the scandal.

"Scotty is a loose cannon and can't be controlled so they don't want to run into another scandal on one of the biggest series that they show all over the world."
They added: "But Scotty makes great TV and the cast love him."
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that original cast member Gaz Beadle, who shared an adorable snap with daughter Primrose, has turned down the reunion special.
A seperate source told The Sun: "Gaz has told bosses and the rest of the cast he's too busy to come back for the ten year reunion.

"MTV bosses will be fuming as Gaz owes his whole career to the show, so it's a bit cheeky to turn around and snub their big reunion.
"Everyone else is excited to return for the show and where it all began, but Gaz has told people he's not interested: he's grown up and moved on.
"He's got two kids at home and businesses to run," the insider shared.
