The former England midfielder, 47, has forged an illustrious TV career since retiring from football 16 years ago. Alongside serving as a Sky Sports pundit, Jamie has starred on A League Of Their Own for nearly 11 years. The star, who joins Andrew Flintoff on tonight’s ITV show Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey, has also hit the headlines since he and Louise split-up.
Jamie and the former Eternal singer separated four years ago and have since divorced.
Before their split, they were considered “football’s celebrity couple” and thought to have a “perfect” marriage.
They were introduced by Robbie Williams during the 1995 Take That tour, which Louise was performing in with her former band.
The couple had two children, Charles and Beau, now 16 and 12, but split-up in 2017 soon after her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.
Louise recently released a new book, You’ve Got This And Other Things I Wish I’d Known, which details parts of their marriage.
She claimed to have felt like “a sort of Stepford wife” during their 19 years together, in a 2017 Independent article.
Louise claimed her career was put on-hold while they had children and at times she felt “jealous” of Jamie’s burgeoning TV career.
She said: “I was proud of him but there was part of me thinking, ‘That’s my world!’”
Louise also claimed to have felt under “pressure” due to having a celebrity marriage.
She divulged her battle with weight after having children and thought Jamie was lucky because of his physique.
JUST IN: Louise Redknapp responded ‘never say never’ to Jamie fears
In 2009, Louise told the Daily Mail that his appearance caused problems in their relationship because she was constantly told Jamie was a “good-looking guy”.
Louise went “through ups and downs” during their marriage and felt insecure about her appearance.
This came years after she was voted the sexiest woman in the world in a number of polls, including FHM in 2004.
Louise said: “When I feel confident, I think, ‘I’m a good woman, he won’t find anyone better.’”

But during other times, she felt unsure and raised concerns about her marriage.
Louise said: “Then I have days when I think, ‘There are beautiful, skinny girls out there. He could have anyone.’”
When probed further whether she thought Jamie would cheat, she remarked: “I’d never say never.”
She felt she would “be a fool to” suggest it could never happen but said she “loved and trusted him”.
Louise admitted to being envious of her then-husband on a number of occasions, most notably because of his appearance.
In 2010, she told Guilty Pleasures: “Jamie’s very fortunate he looks the way he does.”
Louise pointed out that he “trained hard” and “always found time to train” despite family and work pressures.
She continued: “It’s what he’s always done, being a footballer for so many years, it’s second nature to him.”

Louise claimed it was very different for herself and felt “pressure” to look good.
The revelation came after she took part in the 2007 ITV documentary, The Truth About Size Zero.
Louise claimed there was pressure from being in “the media spotlight” and believed the public was “very quick to criticise”.
She added: “No one wants criticism.”
Even before red carpet appearances, Louise admitted to being concerned about how she looked and how her appearance would be perceived.
She recalled thinking: “I hope I don’t look fat in this, I hope this dress isn’t unflattering.”
Louise revealed she went “through all those things” before media appearances.
This led her to design her own clothing ranges, similar to fellow ex-footballer’s wife Victoria Beckham.
Louise said: “I love fashion. It’s my one little vice in life.
“It’s real escapism for me – whether that is right or wrong.”
Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey, which stars Jamie Redknapp and Andrew Flintoff, airs at 9pm tonight on ITV.
