Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec performed an intimate routine alongside Ed Sheeran at the Strictly Come Dancing final, much to the delight of viewers. The 38-year-old’s return to the dance floor was her first since leaving the show last year to front Strictly: It Takes Two.

Taking to her Instagram page after their performance yesterday, Janette gushed over her spouse and thanked the show for allowing her to return.

Alongside a picture of the pair in action, she began by telling fans the night was filled with “lots of emotions”.

On dancing with her husband again, she wrote: “There are no words.

“This show has been in our lives for so many years, and saying goodbye to it this series was tough.”

She went on to say she “fell in love” watching Aljaz dance and was happy to watch him perform with Sara Davies this year.

Janette added she had missed dancing with her “Bučko” more than ever and thanked the show for letting it happen again.

“He is my everything and the bond that dance has given us is inexplicable,” she continued.

The pair, who married in 2017, have previously credited the show for bringing them together back in 2013.

Janette made the decision to leave the show last year to takeover from Zoe Ball on Strictly: It Takes Two.

She has since announced she will be hosting the upcoming nationwide tour and will be dancing too.

On her new role, the dancer spilled: “It’s a dream come true.

“It’s been two years since the last tour so the expectation and build-up has been huge.

Janette went on to say the shows will be “bigger than ever”.

The tour will also see her reunite with tour judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.

The latter hasn’t been a part of Strictly Come Dancing series for two years, due to travel restrictions.

He said of returning: “The tour will also see her reunited with tour judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and fan favourite Bruno Tonioli, who isn’t on the panel in this year’s BBC series.

“I’ve missed my fellow judges, I’ve missed the glitz and glamour of the tour and I’ve missed the amazing audiences that come to see us all over the country – I hope you have missed me too.

“I cannot wait to be back alongside Shirley, Craig, the celebs, and the pros.”

This year’s Strictly Come Dancing was won by Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice.
