While the Queen did not make an appearance at the star-studded event, Daniel thinks of her fondly as he recently recalled a skit they performed together for London's 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.

Speaking to The Mirror, the 53 year old recalled James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli pitching the idea of the skit to him and the "next thing I know I'm literally on the way to Buckingham Palace in a tuxedo, and we shoot it."

Daniel said he arrived to find director Danny Boyle giving notes to the Queen, who was keen on "improving a bit".
