Love Is Blind star Jessica Batten marries partner two years after Mark Cuevas break up

Love is Blind star Jessica Batten has finally struck it lucky in love as she tied the knot with her long term partner Benjamin McGrath in sunny Santa Barbara.

The 38 year star appeared on the Netflix dating show back in 2020 as she hoped to find the love of her life and settle down with 'The One' without ever laying eyes on the person she was communicating with.

After striking up a rapport with fellow contestant Mark Cuevas, Jessica famously ditched him at the altar after ending their engagement by saying “I don’t.”

Yet despite her unlucky turn on the show, it seems Jessica finally has found the man of her dreams in beau Benjamin, 36.

Rather than opting for a big ceremony, the couple chose to elope to Santa Barbara for their wedding, with the pair tying the knot in an intimate courtyard ceremony in front of just two other couples.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the couple shared their happy news with fans and friends alongside a sweet selfie of the loved up pair together.

Captioning the post, Jessica wrote: "8.24.22 Mr. & Mrs.”

Ben also shared the news on his Instagram Stories, writing: "Married my person and excited to tell you about it!”

Opening up a little about their whirlwind romance in the latest edition of Brides, Jessica told the publication that it was “love at first sight” when she first met Ben just prior to Covid hitting Los Angeles.

She said: "We decided to meet for a bike ride the next day. 15 miles later, we had a good feeling that we had something special."

“We got to know each other over the next couple weeks in isolation via phone calls and Facetime,” she told the publication.

In the space of the year that followed, the couple continued to grow closer, with Ben and Jessica deciding to take their relationship one step further in September 2021, when Ben popped the big question to the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Despite initially considering a big wedding, the couple changed their minds after a little more thought, deciding that logistically an elopement on a much smaller scale was better suited to them at this point in their lives.

"Ultimately, we decided that we needed more time to pull off the massive celebration that we thought was worthy for our family and friends," Jessica told the magazine.

Dressed in a chic lace gown by Reem Acra and a matching cream suit, the pair exchanged their handwritten vows to each other in a sweet but poignant ceremony, surrounded by just four other people as they pledged to spend the rest of their lives together.

Jessica and Ben plan to host a big celebration further down the road.
