The red carpet is set to be rolled out on Thursday night's edition of Love Island – but will a night in front of the big screen bomb at the box office?

In scenes to air tonight, Jake lets the Islanders know that they will be getting the luxury of a movie night as he reads out the text: "Islanders, Tonight we are treating you to a night at the pictures. #madmovies #21stcenturycocks."

The contestants are separated into girls versus boys as they answer quiz questions, with the winning team getting to pick which movie clip they want to see.

However, they won't be tuning in to see the likes of Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts. Instead, they will be shown clips of themselves during their time in the villa.

Currently, it is unclear what sort of clips will air – but if the show so far is anything to go, it will most likely be explosive.

Viewers will have to grab their popcorn and tune in on Thursday night to see what will feature on the clips.

Meanwhile, it will also be crunch time in the villa as Hugo Hammond, Amy Day, Mary Bedford, Sam Jackson, Tyler Cruickshank and Clarisse Juliette face being dumped after they received the fewest votes in the public vote on Wednesday.

In another cruel twist, it was revealed that two boys and two girls would be going home, and the Islanders had to decide who that would be.

The boys were then told they had to pick one girl to save out of Amy, Mary and Clarisse, while the girls had to pick out of Hugo, Sam and Tyler.

Viewers were quick to take to Twitter after the savage twist and complained that the show ended on yet another cliffhanger.

One follower commented: "Ofc they would leave it on a cliffhanger again, these producers really love playing with my emotions #LoveIsland."
