Love Island stars snubbed Antigoni’s reunion party as ‘big divide’ is formed

Some of this year’s Love Island stars are said to have “snubbed” Antigoni Buxton’s afterparty sparking speculation that there’s a “big divide” between this year’s contestants.

Series eight of the hit ITV2 dating show came to a close on Monday 1 August, with the explosive reunion episode airing a few days later.

Following the reunion, singer and former Islander Antigoni hosted a fun-filled afterparty at her home and, while several of her fellow reality TV stars attended, the likes of Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Davide Sanclimenti, Gemma Owen and Luca Bish failed to turn up.

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page were also absent, alongside Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack.

The only finalists to show their faces were Paige Thorne and Adam Collard.

An insider said to the Daily Star: "Antigoni threw the most amazing party for everyone and almost all the stars were there – apart from the big names.

“People felt it was a bit off that they have decided to distance themselves from the main group and it’s pretty clear a big divide has already formed.

“The party went on until the early hours, and fortunately they managed to avoid getting shut down by neighbours, who were keeping a watching eye on proceedings.”

The reports come after Ekin-Su decided not to go to the action-packed party amid speculation she was avoiding bombshell Nathalia Campos, whom she butted heads with in the villa.

However, the Turkish actress insisted that there’s no hard feelings between her and Nathalia.

Following the end of the show, Ekin-Su said that the pair are "friends", as a source told MailOnline: "Ekin-Su and Nathalia made up at the Love Island Reunion and she insisted that there are no hard feelings between the pair.

"Ekin-Su believes that she would have been friends with Nathalia during their time on the show – had Nathalia not come into the villa as a bombshell."

The reunion saw Ekin-Su and Nathalia battle it out once again to make the best pancakes as seen in the villa with Nathalia going on to win the “golden spatula” after Islanders voted in her favour.

Sunday night’s programme also saw the moment where Ekin-Su crawled across the terrace to lock lips with Jay was one that kept viewers amused and host Laura Whitmore questioned whether Davide had seen the moment.

The Italian replied that he hadn't, as Ekin-Su attempted to cover his eyes. After watching the moment, Jay was left giggling with his head in his hands.
