Love Island recouplings are known for providing jaw-dropping moments and always seem to end with a face off (or cliffhanger!) when it comes down to the last two.

And it turns out, the drama is no accident. According to former Islander Anton Danyluk, the producers make sure they know who each contestant is going to pick in advance, so they are able to choose the order of recoupling speeches.

Speaking to OK! ahead of the release of his new book, Anton Danyluk: 50 Steps to the Best Version of Yourself, Anton revealed that producers know each Islander is going to pick in advance.

He explains: "You’re not told what to say, but they know who you’re picking before you pick them so they can put it in a specific order, so it becomes dramatic. Do you never wonder how it works out so dramatic?!"

Anton added that producers coach Islanders to make sure that they don't give away the identity of the person they are picking in each speech.

He explained: "You have to make your speech not obvious – so I knew I was going to couple up with Belle but the audience didn’t. I couldn’t just say ‘she’s got blonde hair’ – you have to make it quite dramatic!"

The star also opened up about his predictions for this year's contestants. The gym owner said he thinks that Jake Cornish will stay strong in Casa Amor but he can see Liam Reardon's head turning away from Millie Court.

He explained: "Jake and Liberty have made it official, so you can imagine they’ll get to the final for sure. I think he’ll be ok – they’ve boyfriend and girlfriend so I think they’ll be ok."

Anton continued: "Every year there’s a big one that could happen and I think this year’s big one whose head will go will be Liam. I think he’s going to go, I really do! That will be the dramatic one."

Currently, 21-year-old Liam is coupled up with blonde beauty Millie – who recently rocked some super stylish co-ords. He was previously in a couple with Faye Winter, 26, but the pair quickly realised they weren't meant to be.
