Dru Tejada (played by Lovell Adams-Gray) is one of the new characters joining the Power universe after he was introduced to the Starz franchise. He turned up in the spin-off series Power Book II: Ghost as the youngest son of queenpin Monet Tejada (Mary J. Blige), who was reluctantly roped into the family business. Dru had aspirations of becoming an artist but the pull of the Tejadas’ trade meant this may well have just been a pipe dream.
Is Lovell Adams-Gray married?
In the show, Dru is gay and got involved in a tryst with a Stansfield basketball player after his mother Monet sent him on an undercover mission to the prestigious college to spy on Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr).
Dru was very much a firm fixture on Ghost and is likely to be featuring in the series going forward after Starz greenlit season two early.
The character could have a push and pull between the street and his artistic dreams but could well get pulled under by it all.
Fans of Power want to know more about the actor behind Dru and whether the star is married in real life.
