Made in Chelsea’s Maeva D’Ascanio separated from baby son as she catches covid

Made in Chelsea's Maeva D'Ascanio has been forced to separate from her baby son, Beau, after catching Covid-19.

The 30 year old TV personality took to Instagram to share the news with fans, as she showed off her positive Covid test, before giving her fans a more in-depth update as to what is going on.

At the end of November, Maeva gave birth to her first child, a bouncing baby boy whom she shares with co-star and fiancé James Taylor.

But following her positive covid test, Maeva revealed that her son was staying with her mother-in-law, James' mum, to keep him from catching it.

Maeva donned a red Christmas jumped adorned with white animals as she updated her followers on the unfortunate situation.

Speaking into the camera, she said: "So, for the update, I have Covid. I am at home on my own.

"My little baby Beau is not here. I had to leave him to my mother-in-law because it's way more safe there for him because I know…

"It's really hard to say. Some people say that babies can catch Covid, some say babies cannot catch Covid but, just in case, I prefer him to be there and be safe."

She continued: "I'm wearing a Christmas jumper though so…anyway…that was a s**t Christmas but it's fine. The next one will be better hopefully."

Maeva went on to tug at her brunette ponytail, as she also described it as "really s**t," as she shared that her hairdresser would be coming over, once she is Covid-free, to freshen up her locks.

The star announced the birth of her baby son on 30 November.

Posting a collection of heartwarming snaps, Maeva wrote: "Welcoming the last 9 months and 11 days into our lives this morning was everything and more than we could have ever hoped for.

"I’m so happy I’ve now met you my little roast. @jamestaylorldn is going to be the best daddy ever. Being induced on Sunday and trying to achieve a virginal birth from the outset wasn’t meant to be.

"We both decided along with the amazing doctors at the Rosie that a C section was the safest option to bring our boy to us.

"On Wednesday morning 30/11/2022 Beau Christian Taylor joined our growing family (9lbs 9oz!)" with blue heart emojis.

Maeva documented her time in the hospital as she prepared to welcome her baby boy into the world, including posting one snap where she informed her followers that she had been induced.

In another clip, she filmed James holding his phone while sitting in a chair opposite her while watching the World Cup. Maeva asked on camera: "Are you alright there?"

"Yep. It's the World Cup. I am busy, call me later when the baby is here, please?" James jokingly replied, to which Maeva chuckled.
