Red carpets may slowly be coming back after over a year of virtual-only events, but Sandra Oh came prepared.
The former Grey's Anatomy star graced the premiere of Marvel's Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings with her presence on Thursday night in London, wearing a casual-cool ensemble that gave us an instant lesson in silhouette dressing.
Oh wore a pair of khaki wide-legged trousers with a daringly billowy brown Acler polka dot blouse and peep-toe shoes. She wore her hair down in loose waves and accessorized with just a gold pendant necklace. The wide-leg shape and the puffy sleeves on her blouse could have proved to be a tricky combination, but thanks to expert tailoring and Oh's self-assured ease, she's wearing the outfit — not the other way around.
Shang Chi is Marvel's first East Asian superhero, played by Simu Liu. Ahead of the premiere, Oh was spotted hanging out with the cast of the film, including Awkafina and Michelle Yeoh.
The actress, who stars in Netflix's The Chair, recently spoke about "moving into the mother stage of my career," telling Amanda Peet in an interview for The Cut, "I know classically, a lot of actresses my age are upset and say, 'Oh, I have to play the mother or the wife,' but there is tremendous richness in all of these experiences and relationships."
