Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid, 50, received her first dose of the AstraZeneca Covid jab today in the same place Boris Johnson, 56, had his done. The journalist shared a picture of herself with the jab in her arm at St Thomas’ Hospital, in view of her 565,000 followers.
She wrote: “JABBED! Thanks Kamilah & everyone at St Thomas’ Hospital vaccination centre. Didn’t see Boris. Do need a haircut. #Vintage1970.”
Susanna also shared a picture of herself make-up free while sporting a mask from the centre she was vaccinated in.
She commented: “JABBED! Thanks Kamilah & everyone at St Thomas’ Hospital vaccination centre. Didn’t see Boris. Do need a haircut. #Vintage1970.”
Many of her fans flocked to her post to comment.
One user wrote: “Congrats!! One step closer to freedom and hugs.”
A second commented: “Well done Susanna, let’s hope everyone else will get the Jab when they are offered it.”
“Take care, stay safe & hope you got on ok with your jab xxxx,” a third added.
Others warned her to be wary of potential side effects and told her to take it easy tomorrow.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson also shared a picture of himself getting the jab done one Twitter this evening.
He tweeted: “I’ve just received my first Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine dose.
“Thank you to all of the incredible scientists, NHS staff and volunteers who helped make this happen.
“Getting the jab is the best thing we can do to get back to the lives we miss so much. Let’s get the jab done.”
