Aside from keeping up with all of the “Real Housewives” in the “Real Housewives” franchise on Bravo, keeping up with their children is something that all of us love to do as well. For many cast members on the show, being part of the reality TV world means that we’ve been able to watch not only their lives unfold, but their children’s lives, too. Teresa Giudice, one of the longest running housewives on Bravo, has been on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” for so long, we’ve seen all four of her daughters go from little toddlers to grown, young adults.
When the show first aired in 2009, Teresa’s oldest daughter, Gia, was only 8 years old. Now, she’s 20, in college, and even launching a brand-new fashion business all on her own. It’s hard to believe that she’s spent the last 12 years in the spotlight alongside her parents, whose controversial marriage was a big storyline on the Bravo TV show for the last several years.
Looking back, there may be a few things that Gia regrets, but, she does have a moment that will “haunt” her for the rest of her life.
The one moment Gia Giudice regrets
Reflecting back on your childhood can be hard for anyone, especially when your childhood is being aired for millions of people all over the world. And, when things resurface on the internet, it can be hard to escape.
Gia Giudice has had the majority of her life shown up-close on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” especially when it comes to intimate issues in her parent’s marriage. Both her mother, Teresa, and her father, Joe, had their divorce and legal proceedings become a staple of the Bravo TV show’s plot line, as both parents served time in prison for tax fraud. Despite her family’s dirty laundry becoming national conversation, the one part about the series she’s embarrassed by is a song she had written for her mother and her Uncle Joe Gorga in Season 3.
At a family party, young Gia decided to write a song — now dubbed “Sad Song” — trying to get her mother and uncle to put aside their differences as they were barely speaking. “Waking up in the morning, thinking about so many things,” Gia sang at the time. The famous line, which has now resurfaced and gone viral on TikTok (even celebrities are calling it out!), is one that Gia claimed in an Instagram comment will “haunt [me] forever.” On the bright side, she’s also managed to make a profit off it, launching personalized sweatshirts and accessories, too. Plus, she even hopped on the TikTok trend herself.
