The Today Cast Paid Tribute to Broadway With Their Halloween Costumes — Performance Included!

Watch the Today Show Cast’s Lip Sync Performance

The Today cast always goes all out for Halloween, and this year was no exception. For the Halloween episode on Friday, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dryer, Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Jenna Bush Hager, Savannah Guthrie, and Hoda Kotb paid tribute to Broadway — which has been shut down since March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic — by dressing up as characters from iconic musicals like Chicago, Hamilton, Cats, and Wicked. “This year, we’ve seen the lights go down on Broadway, but that is about to change,” Carson Daly said on the show. “The lights are going up and the curtain will rise on a one of a kind show in certainly a one of a kind year.” Not only were there outfits spot on, but they even lip-synched some of the famous songs from the musicals. We can’t get over Al Roker’s King George III impression — Jonathan Groff would be proud! See the rest of the costumes and performances ahead.
