Tom Fletcher, 36, has shared his plans to “expose” his Strictly Come Dancing partner Amy Dowden, 31, in view of his Instagram followers. Appearing in a self-taped video ahead of their appearance on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two on Thursday, the McFly star poked fun at his pro partner after she got the timings of their interview wrong.

In view of his two million followers, the musician exclaimed: “We are on It Takes Two for the first time. Woo hoo!”

Turning to Amy, he enquired: “What time is it on?”

Amy responded saying the show was on at 6.15pm, but immediately corrected herself.

“Oh no, so I got the time wrong,” she confessed.

The pro dancer continued: “I said we were on in 20 minutes – we are not.”

Tom interrupted: “That’s good because I’m not dressed yet.”

A seemingly shy Amy then turned to Tom: “I thought you were going to stop recording.”

However, Tom took the opportunity to take a cheeky dig at his dancing partner.

He said: “No, I’m still showing everyone the real Amy Dowden.

“This is what I aim to do throughout our Strictly experience.

“To expose you for who you really are.”

It comes after the pair returned to the rehearsal studios this week after missing last week’s show due to Covid.

Their isolation period finished just in time for Movie Week practice.

However, the pair suffered another unfortunate incident on Wednesday when Tom fell over while practicing this week’s routine.

Amy took to Instagram to update fans on the news and admitted she was “really concerned” about the fall, which saw Tom nearly bring her down too.

She reposted Tom’s video of her reaction to the incident, which had been recorded.

Despite her worries, the dancer was seen sitting on the floor, as she could not stop laughing.

Tom could be heard asking the dancer: “What you laughing at?” (sic)

“She’s just watching videos of me dance,” Tom explained, while pointing to a laptop.

“You just full on fell over!” Amy burst out, adding, “and you nearly took me with you!”
