How to cook chicken in an air fryer

To make the chicken tender and juicy rather than dry, it's best to first prepare a marinade to soak it in.

If you want the chicken super crispy, then dry the chicken before cooking, however, if you want it juicy, just remove it from the marinade and put it in the basket.

Once you place it in the air fryer, all you have to do is keep an eye out for it and make sure to flip it during the process so that it cooks evenly on each side.

The duration of the cooking process depends on how big your chicken is.

Do I need to wrap the chicken in foil to cook it in an air fryer?

Not all air fryers allow you to use foil, so first check your manual before preparing your chicken.

If it allows you to, feel free to use foil in your air fryer.

This will also prevent it even more from getting dirty and having juice stick to it which will make it even more annoying to clean.

However, it is unsafe to use foil if you are using any acidic foods in your marinades such as tomatoes and citrus.

The acid from these foods can make metal leach out of the foil, which will give your food a metallic taste and also make it unsafe to eat.
