I WORK in retail & 5 things we are sick of – including people asking for discounts because they dated the owner’s cousin

A RETAIL worker has revealed that customers tell her the same five things constantly and it gets so annoying.

Jay, from Northern Ireland, says that every retail worker is sick of hearing these things.

Taking to her TikTok account, she lists the annoying things that customers say so often.

Posting under the domain @justtjay she said the first thing retail staff are sick of hearing is "it didn't scan or no barcode, must be free."

This was followed by "You close in five minutes, I'll be in and out" and "Aw that's some weather you're missing today."

The funniest revelation the woman says happens, is people thinking they can get a discount as they have a very small connection to the owner.

Jay revealed many customers ask "can I get a discount, I went out with the owner's cousin 10 years ago?"

They also ask her "Working Christmas eve? that's a joke."

"Ya because you're shopping" added, Jay.
