Kate Middleton recycles McQueen coat and £2,000 handbag for final day of Royal Train tour

Kate Middleton and William: Expert on couple's royal train tour

Kate Middleton, 38, and Prince William, also 38, embarked on their three day Royal Train tour on Sunday evening which saw the couple board at Euston station in London. Today, the royals are in Wales for the last leg of their tour where Kate wore a dark red coat and a matching scarf.

The tour, which will see the couple stopping in England, Scotland and Wales, is to thank frontline workers who have worked during the coronavirus pandemic.

Both Kate and William are keen to meet people in person but they have also turned to speaking to various workers via video call too.

The royal couple arrived at Cardiff Castle today to celebrate Christmas at the Castle.

For the occasion, Kate opted for an Alexander McQueen red coat which she previously wore back in October while visiting the launch of her Hold Still campaign in London.

While this style is no longer stocked, similar versions retail for around £1,200 on designer websites like Farfetch.

The coat has a cross over button effect, with black buttons and pockets one either side of the coat.

Kate added a red tartan scarf to her look which matched her winter coat perfectly.

She also added a festive red tartan midi skirt which can be seen under her coat.

The Emilia Wickstead skirt is currently sold out but retails for £1,500.

Kate previously wore it last December when they hosted a Christmas party at Kensington Palace.

For today’s look, Kate added a black high neck jumper to the look but also recycled the same black boots she opted for back in 2019.

These Ralph Lauren boots have become a firm favourite in the Duchess’ wardrobe and she has worn them everyday on her Royal Train tour.
