Lily Elizabeth Zarrella and Henri Edward Rainaud IV were married June 15 on the beach at the Wauwinet in Nantucket, Mass. Christopher Swiatek, a United States Coast Guard master chief who received a one-day marriage designation from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, officiated.
The bride, 28, is a deputy chief of staff in Boston the office of Gov. Charlie Baker of Massachusetts. She graduated from Boston University.
She is a daughter of Ronald L. Zarrella of Rochester, N.Y., and the late Linda J. Zarrella. The bride's father retired as the chairman and chief executive of Bausch and Lomb, the eye health care company; he worked in Rochester. He was previously the president of General Motors North America Detroit. Her mother was a medical anthropologist in Rochester before becoming a stay-at-home-parent.
The groom, who is 33 and known as Ted, is a principal at Berkshire Partners, a Boston-based private investment firm. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received an M.B.A. from Stanford.
He is the son of Diane L. England of Canton, Conn., and Mr. Rainaud III of Cheshire, Conn. The groom's mother retired as a freelance technical writing consultant in Canton. His father is an independent software engineer in Cheshire.
The couple met in 2014 through the dating app Hinge.
