Mum turns wasted space under the stairs into a cosy Dr Seuss-themed reading nook for just £10

A CRAFTY mum has turned the cupboard under the stairs into a cosy Dr Seuss-themed reading nook for her kids.

It's ideal for parents on a budget too, as the whole space cost just £10 after buying some themed stickers and trendy lights from Amazon.

Lauren Meeks shared the incredible room online admitting that her kids love the new space.

Thee cosy room is complete with a big comfy bean bag plus some cushions on the floor, as well as some floating shelves with some books.

Individual lights are stuck on the wall making it easy to read, and Dr Seuss wall stickers cover the white walls.

Posting in the Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas Facebook group, she wrote: "I turned the space under my stairs into a reading corner for the children and they love it!

"Thought it might inspire other parents on here to do something similar."

And later added: "Stickers and lights are from amazon about £10 each but the stickers have gone up in price now."

Other group members were blown away by Lauren's efforts, with the post racking up almost 8k likes.

"What a fantastic idea," one person wrote.

And another shared: "Love this idea, no children but it uses the space brilliantly."

While one joked: "I wanna get in there and curl up and read."
