Samuel Zelig Debuts Its "Collection 1" Lookbook

Samuel Zelig presents its inaugural Fall/Winter 2020 lookbook for its “Collection 1.” Founded in Los Angeles by Dylan Lubell and Jonathan Levite, the label focuses on telling the story of ancient fabrics through garments — patina from wear, uneven coloring through sun exposure, and boro repair patches, these are just some of the expressions found in each nostalgic piece.

Inspired from a mixture of Japanese, French and American workwear staples, the first collection employs the use of vintage quilts from 1870 all the way to 1970, reconstructing them into outerwear silhouettes with details like hand-embroidered care labels, heavyweight twill tape binding, and antique Riri brass zippers. Rounding off the first collection is the double-knee corduroy pants and oil-wash canvas pants. Head over to Samuel Zelig to shop the full collection.
