Aldi launches dough balls 30% cheaper than Pizza Express

There’s nothing more we love than a Friday night takeaway. Pizza and dough balls is an absolute fave.

However, the money adds up and it can become hard to ignore the expense of ordering food so frequently.

Never fear, because Aldi is here.

The budget supermarket giant has unveiled its latest ‘fakeaway’ product and it’s a mouthwatering addition.

Carlos Dough Balls with Garlic Butter Dip (£1.35, 180g), are more than 30% cheaper than restaurant chain Pizza Express’s popular starter, so you’ll please your bank balance as well as curbing your hunger.

Meanwhile, you can pair the carb fillers with the Carlos Takeaway Fully Loaded Meat Feast Pizza (£3.29, 510g) and the Carlos Takeaway Mini Garlic Pizza Bread (£1.09, 145g) for a home fakeaway feast.

To complete the night, pair with a rich glass of red wine in the form of the Specially Selected Maremma Toscana (£7.99, 75cl)

Mistress of wine at Aldi, Sam Caporn says: ‘The adage of “what grows together goes together” is so true when it comes to Italy and so look no further than a snazzy Sangiovese based blend such as the Specially Selected Maremma Toscana (£7.99, 75cl) for pizza nights

‘The medium to full bodied red gives notes of black cherry and blueberry that are fabulous with a slice (or two) of pizza.’

All products are available to buy in your local Aldi now.
