Aldi launches nationwide golden ticket chocolate bar competition

Remember when golden ticket competitions were all the rage in supermarkets?

McVitie’s was just one brand to create frenzy among competition-hungry customers with boxes of Jaffa Cakes.

That golden age of hidden tickets was a good decade ago (if not longer), but now Aldi is bringing it back – as of tomorrow.

In a Willy Wonka-style giveaway, winning golden tickets have been hidden in Aldi’s Dairyfine Golden Giveaway Chocolate Bars.

There are 25 scattered across the nation – and each one has a cash prize assigned to it.

The life-changing amounts of money range from £5,000 to £10,000, with five tickets representing the top prize.

From November 1, customers can buy these bars in the hopes of winning a ticket.

Each giant-sized 800g bar costs £4.99 and is a classic milk chocolate flavour. And if a bar has a ticket, a shopper can claim the value of the cash prize printed on it via the Aldi website.

Even if you don’t win any money, each sweet treat has a festive message written inside – making it a bit more special than your regular solid chocolate.

Prizes have to be claimed by midnight on January 24 2022 – so you won’t want to leave this chocolate hanging around for too long, in case it’s one of the lucky 25.

You can take part in stores across the country via Click & Collect – but it’s worth pointing out that entrants have to be 18 or over and live in Britain.

You may as well try your luck, right?
