The Percy Pig dominion shows no signs of slowing as M&S launches another item inspired by the lovable pink piggy.
The supermarket has released Percy Pigs pancakes ahead of Shrove Tuesday next month.
Customers are now able to get their hands on the buttermilk pancakes, which are, as an homage to the sweets, coloured pink.
The flavour of the griddle cakes will also be just like the classic sweets (that’s a combo of raspberry, strawberry, cherry and grape), and they’ll contain raspberry jelly pieces.
If you’re a huge Percy Pigs stan, you can drizzle the pancakes with the character-inspired sauce that was released last year.
But that might be overkill as the pancakes are actually made using the same pink sauce, which apparently tastes like a liquid bottle of the famous pig-shaped sweets.
News of the latest addition was shared on Instagram group NewfoodsUK, where fans were excited.
The group said in the post: ‘NEW PERCY PRODUCT ALERT. Percy Pig Pancakes! WOW! These are super delicious!
‘Buttermilk pancakes made with Percy Pig dessert sauce, with apple and raspberry jelly pieces – these have a beautiful fruity taste! We love the jelly pieces and sauce in these pancakes – perfect heated up!’
The post received almost 8,000 likes, with many wanting to try it.
One person wrote: ‘OMG would love these,’ while another said: ‘These sound good!’.
A third wrote: ‘That’s my Pancake Day sorted’.
Others were less keen. One person commented ‘too far now’.
One M&S customer was extremely displeased with the item, likening the product to ‘terrorism’.
