Marks and Spencer is well known for its Colin the Caterpillar cake range which has proven to be very popular amongst customers over the years. The line now includes a Connie the Caterpillar cake, jelly sweets, mini logs and the retailer has recently launched Colin the Caterpillar chocolate faces.

With Easter just around the corner, Marks and Spencer has launched its Easter Egg Hunt Colin the Caterpillar.

After the controversy over the cakes’ appearance for Easter last year, Colin this year is topped with white chocolate eggs.

Last year, fans said the cake looked as if it was for Halloween with a scary looking bunny on the front of it.

Over 12,000 people commented on a snap of the £10 cake on Facebook, with one writing: “It looks demonic”.

Luckily this year the classic Colin has returned onto the front of the cake, and he even has a top hat on.

Landing in-stores today, the cake costs just £10 and is available nationwide.

Announcing the news on social media, fans loved his new look.
