The world is a pretty strange place today – but there’s one thing that has just made things a whole lot better.
Pret has launched its Christmas menu and, while we might not be feeling as festive as we usually do, it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
And the good news is that both Pret and Veggie Pret will be open for takeaway and delivery during the winter lockdown period.
The new menu, which is on sale now, features a whole host of festive delights including some old favourites like the Christmas lunch sandwich – which comes with turkey, port-and-orange cranberry sauce, stuffing, spinach, mayo and onions.
A range of seasonal sandwiches (hello brie and cranberry baguette) are back in stores and Pret is selling pigs in blankets either in a pot or in a sandwich with onion relish.
Of course, there are vegan options, too, like the nut roast sandwich, which includes butternut squash, rocket, Christmas pesto, vegan sage mayo, onions and caramelised pecans, as well as vegan versions of the baguettes and hot rolls.
No festive meal would be complete without a little sweet treat and there are plenty of those on the Pret Christmas menu.
Sweet tooths can feast on Christmas tiffin, gingerbread snowman or a dairy-free mince pie and wash them down with either a gingerbread latte, salted caramel latte or a s’mores hot chocolate. These drinks are also available as one of your five daily cups if you signed up to Pret’s Barista subscription earlier this year.
But these delights not only taste great, they’re doing their bit for charity, too. This is because 50p from every sale of a Christmas sandwich will go towards the Pret Foundation which aims to tackle poverty, hunger and homelessness.
