You can make your own s’mores at the table at new Bigfire restaurant

It’s hard to beat genuine open-fire cooking.

Bigfire, a new lakeside lodge-themed restaurant, is opening this summer at Universal Orlando Resort’s CityWalk, featuring menu items like hearty chili, seasoned steaks and smoked salads, all grilled on complementary woods. No matter where you’re seated in the restaurant, you’ll be able to see your food being cooked in the flames.

Pretty cool, but if you’re like us, it’s all about the DIY s’mores. You’ll be brought all the ingredients as well as a small open-fire kit to roast your own marshmallows and assemble those s’mores right at your own table. And after dessert, the outside patio has its own fire pit and family lawn games.

Price-wise, this is a medium-range option, ideal for when you’re looking for a heavier meal. Unsurprisingly, given its theme park locale, it’s a very family-friendly environment. (There is a fire, but it’s not accessible by any children who start running around.)

Bigfire opens later this summer, and reservations can be made on Universal Orlando’s website.
