Georgina Burnett, demonstrated how to revamp an old bed frame into a unique piece of garden furniture on ITV’s This Morning. She regularly appears on the show and inspires people to develop their creative flair by revamping various household items.
For those looking to add “sophistication” to an upcoming garden party, or are planning to host a group of guests outdoors, Georgina demonstrated a clever hack that she said would guarantee to “impress”.
“When I’m on holiday, I love the daybed at the pool, or at the beach, and I really want to recreate that,” she told viewers.
Georgina demonstrated how to create a garden daybed by revamping an old bed frame she had bought online.
To blend the bed frame into the surroundings, Georgina used Clematis and Vine, which she had carefully wrapped around the mental structure, along with articial grass placed on top of the frame.
To create “instant greenery”, she suggested using “faux foliage”, or artificial greenery.
Artificial greenery can be purchased from www.wayfair.co.uk or Argos at www.argos.co.uk.
To make the daybed cosier, she laid a coral blanket with some grey cushions.
To recreate a beach scene, Georgina created a painting on a canvas.

She had recycled an old pallet from a neighbour, but advised that painting on a canvas would “work just as well” and will produce the same effect.
Using a range of acrylic paints, she created waves, which she blended by adding a little water.
She used a darker blue paint to create a horizon.
To create sky, she used a different shade of blue.

After the beach scene was complete, she applied a layer of exterior varnish to seal the paint.
To create the perfect summer tipple, she shared a quick and simple recipe.
To make the drink, she cut the top of a watermelon, scooped out all the fruit, added ice and some bubbly.
Next, she demonstrated how to make small vases from reused glass.
“This is such a simple look to create,” she said.
First, she removed the labels from the bottle, then took some floristry wire and twisted it around the neck of the bottle, looped it around the glass and then secured it. She then added the flowers to the glass and hung it from the garden bed using floristry wire.
In another, she placed air plants into a glass.
Pleased with the results, she said: “I’m so happy with my oasis of calm and sophistication”.
