Harley Bonner has left Home and Away after joining the soap less than a year ago.
In March last year, it was announced that the actor was joining the show as new doctor Logan Bennett, having previously starred in Neighbours as Josh Willis.
At the time that his casting was revealed, he said that he ‘loves working on shows like Home and Away’, saying: ‘It’s been a while since I’ve had the privilege of working on a program that’s such a hallmark of Australian television’.
However, in a statement from Channel Seven, the network said that the 30-year-old has departed the series.
‘Channel Seven can confirm Harley will not return to Home and Away when filming resumes in the coming weeks,’ they company said in a statement sent to Daily Mail Australia.
‘Harley leaves with our best wishes and sincere thanks for his work on the show.’
The actor, who is the son of Neighbours star Carla Bonner, is yet to comment publicly on his departure.
Filming on Home and Away is due to resume on Monday January 10, with all cast and crew required to be double vaccinated.
It’s unknown whether Harley’s departure is in relation to the vaccine mandate and it’s understood that his role will not be recast.
The actor played Josh on Neighbours from 2013 to 2016, with his character killed off after being injured amid a boiler room explosion in a hotel.
During his tenure on Home and Away, Dr Logan became a love interest for Emily Weir’s Mackenzie Booth.
He made his first appearance in August 2021, with his introductory scene showing him helping the victims of a car accident.
Last month, it was announced that Sam Frost had left Home and Away as Jasmine Delaney, with Channel Seven saying in a statement at the time: ‘We support and respect Sam’s decision to leave Home and Away. Sam leaves with our sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future.’
