17.2% of Dream Team gaffers need a replacement for Jamie Vardy (£5.7m) while Leicester’s No9 recovers from a hernia.
The 34-year-old is expected to miss at least three games and tens of thousands of you will need a temporary stand-in until mid-February.
Here’s a closer look at four potential Vardy replacements.
Marcus Rashford (£4.9m)
Occam’s Razor is a scientific and philosophical rule that states the simplest answer to a problem is often the solution.
Man United’s boy wonder has the most points of all forwards with a price equal or below that of Vardy and is therefore the primary candidate by default.
In fact, Rashford’s tally of 163 points is bettered only by Harry Kane (£7.4m) among forwards.
Son Heung-min (£5.0m)
The enlarged plus point next to the South Korean superstar’s name concerns his upcoming schedule.
Spurs play Wycombe in the FA Cup this evening and then have four league games before the estimated date of Vardy’s return — whereas some others only play twice.
Jose Mourinho’s men take on Liverpool, Brighton, Chelsea and West Brom after tonight — a relatively favourable run when you consider the form of the two teams perceived to be among the ‘big six’.
Son ended a run of three consecutive blanks in Game Week 15 and has added 23 points since then to keep the gravy train on track.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£4.0m)
The earliest contender for Dream Team MVP, Calvert-Lewin’s goals dried up before his recent injury and left his worried owners starved of points.
But a goal against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup may have reminded the 23-year-old of the enviable goalscoring feeling.
Everton play Leicester in a tasty midweek clash and while Calvert-Lewin may struggle to get something out of Wesley Fofana (£3.4m) and co, more favourable games against Newcastle and Leeds follow for the Toffees.
Tammy Abraham (£3.3m)
Here’s a wildcard option purely for the sake of it.
While Timo Werner (£3.9m) can’t even find the net from the penalty spot at the moment, Abraham’s strike rate is highly impressive for someone who is constantly fighting for game time.
A hat-trick against Luton produced 28 points for Chelsea’s No9, taking him to 117 points for the season.
Abraham has an ownership of just 0.9% but is now one goal away from matching Vardy’s points total.
Of course, Chelsea’s hierarchal shake-up casts doubt over imminent team selections at Stamford Bridge.
If Thomas Tuchel is confirmed as the man to replace Frank Lampard, who knows how he will view Abraham, though you suspect a hat-trick will have helped the 23-year-old’s case.
