ALDI is going head-to-head or bottle-to-bottle with M&S this Christmas after releasing its own glitter globe gin liqueur.
The discount supermarket is set to launch a limited edition Infusionist Glitter Globe Gin Liqueur that is similar to the M&S light-up snow globe festive tipple launched last month.
The Aldi Infusionist Glitter Globe Gin Liqueurs are set to be released in-store and online just in time for the Christmas party season from November 8.
The retailer aims to repeat the success of its glitter globe gin range that was launched in the spring with flavours such as elderflower and peach.
You can find your nearest Aldi using its store finder.
Shoppers can choose from a clementine or sweet blackberry flavours in Aldi's new festive range and they come in a light-up bottle infused with flecks ofedible 23-carat gold leaf.
The 70cl bottle will be priced at £13.99.
You will need to pay delivery charges if ordering online.
These start at £4.95 for standard delivery of between three and five working days or £6.95 to choose a day.
The product is similar to the M&S sell-out snow globe gin that returned to stores in September.
M&S previously described the tipple as "this season’s must-sip gin".
The gin was so popular that the supermarket slapped a limit on how many shoppers could buy at a time last year.
It is the same size as Aldi's and also features an edible 23-carat gold leaf.
But the Aldi product is cheaper at £13.99 compared with £20 for the M&S version, saving shoppers £6.
It comes just months after M&S launched a trademark dispute against Aldi, claiming the discount chain was copying its Colin the Caterpillar cake.
Aldi is also selling a copycat Fortnum and Mason Christmas hamper this year.
More than 25% of Brits have already started their Christmas shopping over shortage fears.
