Asda customer shares shopping trolley ‘life hack’ for when you forget £1

We've all been there.

You get to the supermarket and realise you don't have a £1 or a token for the trolley.

Well, instead of lugging around a heavy basket, or two, filled with their food shop, one customer took matters into their own hands.

Posting the supermarket shopping trolley tip on Twitter, the Asda customer shared a trick to prevent anyone getting stuck again.

  • Asda launch amazing Jack Daniel's promotion for birthday season

Uploading a picture on Twitter, they revealed they use a key to unlock the trolley.

The tweet read: "Life hack if you ain’t got a quid for a trolley."

In the image the circular part of the key can be seen in the slot where the coin or token usually goes.

"This is incredible," wrote one Twitter user.

  • Asda selling £1 indulgent milkshakes – including Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee

While another revealed they do it too, writing: "I do this I dunno how I discovered it!"

A third added: "Couldn't have told me this yesterday when I had to do a big Aldi shop with nothing but a basket and sheer brute strength."

In more Asda news, the supermarket has slashed bottles of Jack Daniel's Legacy in a new promotion.

And if you have a bit of a sweet tooth, the store's new Indulgent Milkshakes range is for you.
