A thrifty bride has revealed that she found her entire wedding look for less than £10, after sourcing both her dress and shoes from a charity shop.
Jillian Lynch, 32, married her husband in May and managed to find the dress of her dreams in a charity shop just one month before her big day.
The couple originally planned to tie the knot at a local courthouse wearing clothes they already own, but eventually decided to hold a small ceremony so that their family members and friends could attend.
Jillian explained: "My husband, who I do not wish to name, and I were originally planning to wear clothes we already own to get married.
"At first, we didn't want a ceremony or anything, we were just planning to go down to the courthouse on our anniversary."
"After talking with some friends and family, it became clear they should be involved, so we decided to have a small ceremony literally a month before our date," she added.
As soon as they'd planned the ceremony, Jillian set out looking for the perfect dress. She said: "I immediately started looking in charity shops for something I could wear, which is just how I typically shop."
Jillian, who recently moved to Dallas, Texas, found her wedding dress while out shopping in Ohio, and it cost her just £3.12.
Despite being concerned about finding suitable shoes for her big day as she wanted a "something formal but with a very low heel", she managed to find a pair in the same charity shop for just £6.66 – her entire wedding look totalling just £9.79.

"It's always hard going thrifting with something specific in mind. Usually I would just go to a store and browse what they have, so this was a little different.
"I was more worried about the shoes than the dress, because I wanted something formal but with a very low heel. I knew it wouldn't be easy to find exactly what I was envisioning," the 32 year old said.
Explaining what she'd have done if she hadn't managed to find the right dress in a charity shop, Jillian revealed that she probably would have taken a "more traditional route" but she was "super lucky".
She continued, saying: "If I couldn't find anything I wanted I probably would have taken a more traditional route. But I was super lucky and I found the dress and the shoes in the same store, after four days in a row of looking."
Her guests were unaware her stunning gown cost so little, and many presumed it was just a "typical" wedding gown.
Jillian added: "It certainly wasn't a secret, but I only told a couple family members so most of our guests thought it was a typical wedding dress.
"Most brides don't go around the wedding telling everyone how much they spent and I didn't either. People who know me know that thrifting is what I do."
