Céline Dion would drive all night to get to shoes.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer, 51, joined James Corden for his “Carpool Karaoke” segment on Monday night, where she admitted to owning a staggering 10,000 pairs of designer footwear.
As for where she houses all those heels? “I have a place in Las Vegas … let’s call it a ‘warehouse,’” Dion said, pantomiming air quotes. “In my house in Florida, I had a system where it was computerized, and they were all [organized] by colors.”
The star could select her desired pair from an array of rotating shelves, and then place them on a glass counter “made of broken diamonds … not real diamonds, just to make sure you don’t think I’m that loco.”
After confirming she’s quite emotionally attached to her shoes, Corden shared that he’d been in touch with her assistants, who felt she needed to cull the collection a bit. (“Those bitches!” Dion exclaimed.)
“So we’ve got some of your shoes, and we thought we’d give them away to people on the Las Vegas strip,” the host revealed.
Dion wasn’t exactly game, however, swearing and screaming as she clutched her beloved pairs, including some white pointy-toed Stuart Weitzman ankle boots ($575), red patent Kurt Geiger pumps ($175) and more. “I need alcohol,” she muttered.
“Don’t worry, you’re still going to have 9,975 pairs of shoes,” Corden told her.
