Delicious Oreo cheesecake cookies recipe uses just five ingredients and no eggs

A baker’s delicious Oreo cheesecake cookies recipe that use just five ingredients has left foodies across Instagram drooling.

With the UK fully into the second coronavirus lockdown of the year, budding bakers have once again turned to the kitchen for things to do.

But, while banana breads were the go-to food of the first lockdown, we think these Oreo cheesecake cookies should be the sweet treat of the second.

Amateur baker and content creator Eloise Head shared the simple recipe to her 250,000 Instagram followers on her account @fitwafflekitchen.

To start with, you need the following ingredients:

  • 115g unsalted butter, softened
  • 115g cream cheese, softened
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 120g plain flour
  • 10 oreos

First, Eloise whisks together the cream cheese and unsalted butter to make a batter until it is light and fluffy.

Once this is achieved, she adds in the sugar and whisks again.

The baker then pops in the flour a third at a time and whisks gently until combined.

Finally, she places the broken up Oreo biscuits into the batter and folds them in.

Eloise then lets them cool and harden in the fridge for one hour before scooping them out one by one onto a cookie tray.

All that is left to do is to pop them in the oven and let them bake for 10-12 minutes at 160C (fan) until the edges are golden.

The video has been liked more than 26,000 times since it was posted last week and proved hugely popular with viewers.

And a third said: "I want these now."
