Ekin-Su’s Dancing On Ice partner Brendyn Hatfield’s life off screen including co-star wife

Dancing on Ice 2023 kicked off on 15 January, with a star-studded line-up featuring the likes of Michelle Heaton, Patsy Palmer and Joey Essex.

The first celebrity to be eliminated from the competition was John Fashanu, who competed against Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu in the dreaded skate off following the first live shows.

Ekin-Su, 28, and her Dancing On Ice pro partner Brendyn Hatfield, 36, were saved by the judges and will no doubt be now training hard to ensure they don't land themselves in the bottom two again.

Brendyn joined the cast of Dancing On Ice back in 2020, but is yet to reach the grand final of the ITV show.

In the past, Brendyn has competed with ITV news journalist Lucrezia Millarini, rapper Lady Leshurr and singer Rachel Stevens.

Prior to joining the show, Brendyn skated for Disney On Ice, performing alongside his wife, fellow pro skater Jessica Hatfield, as Jasmine and Aladdin.

Brendyn and Jessica both joined Dancing On Ice in 2020 and she has competed on the show once, alongside BBC star Radzi Chinyanganya, but the couple were eliminated in week three.

According to her Instagram profile, Jessica worked as a nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic before deciding to return to professional skating in July 2021, when she returned to Disney On Ice. It appears she is no longer part of the Dancing On Ice cast.

Brendyn and Jessica have performed across the globe together as Aladdin and Jasmine, and are believed to have been married for over nine years. The pair keep their romance private and rarely share snaps online together.

Away from ice skating, Brendyn is also an editor and cinematographer, with his credits including the short film My Name Is Tommy.

The star, who hails from Seattle, studied Media Management at the University of Colorado. Brendyn also previously worked as a skating coach at Mennen Arena in New Jersey.

Brendyn and Ekin-Su will return to the ice rink of Sunday 29 January for musicals week. After being saved in the skate off, the pair both took to social media to thank their fans.

Love Island star Ekin-Su wrote: "We made it through! Thank you so much for your support this week, thanks to the judges and thank you @brendynhatfield loved every second of that performance…roll on musicals week".

Dancing on Ice continues on Sunday 29 January.
