Jessie Wallace first appeared on our screens as Kat Slater on EastEnders in 2000. She had a few stints on the hit BBC soap before returning again in 2018.
The soap star, 49, plays one of the most recognisable characters owing to her bold outfits and tumultuous relationship with Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie.
At the end of a long day filming on the cobbles of Albert Square Jessie returns back to her stunning home in North London.
The whole place is an interior design dream, taking inspiration from old Hollywood glamour and the Art Nouveau and Art deco style periods that span from from the late 1800s to the 1930s.
With fabulous prints, textures and trinkets this really is one of the most incredible celebrity houses. Let’s take a look inside…
This bedroom, with low lit vintage lamps, floral wallpaper and a comfy princess-style bed, that is covered in a faux fur throw and a selection of throw pillows, is just stunning. The pink tones add a seductive warmth to the room making you want to instantly pile onto the bed among the pillows.
Jessie uploaded this image alongside the caption: "Loving my revamped cabinet", and all we can say to that is she definitely is not alone – we adore it too! The bright pink painted glass-front cupboard is decorated with fake flowers that hang from the top and a string of silk handkerchiefs. Inside it is rammed full of curiosities as well as fairy lights that totally transform the piece of furniture giving it a gorgeous, magical look.
This Art Nouveau-inspired wall paper has undulating lines in a floral type pattern. The bulbous look of the wall paper is counteracted by the Art Deco-inspired lamp that is more rigid and geometric in appearance with symmetrical and repetitive forms.
Jessie has also used this fabulous turquoise wallpaper with gold peacock feathers embossed on to it. The design is by Matthew Williamson who is perhaps more famous for his stunning dresses. The peacock feather is both a motif in his work and in the Art Nouveau era that spanned from 1890-1910.
This is Jessie’s kitchen floor, isn’t it amazing? She posted this image to Instagram with the caption: "My new kitchen floor! And I am thrilled!" The green colour with geometric star-shaped pattern is fab and it matches the two-tone green painted walls.
This picture of the view from her living room windows shows the autumn leaves hanging over them with their jewell-like colours, showing that sometimes nature really is the best interior designer. We can also see that Jessie has a tiffany lamp that scatters the light in a way that is reflective of the autumn leaves, as well as candles and ornate candle sticks.
In this snap of the actress enjoying the film Fatal Attraction we can see her amazing fireplace with many trinkets, pots, jars and candles. Jessie also has a sheepskin throw which gives the place an even more cosy vibe.
This close up of her fireplace showcases her array of candles. Also in the reflection on her mirror we can see she has prints of icons Judy Garland and Elvis Presley, and this seems befitting considering that Jessie is somewhat of an icon herself.
Jessie was so excited by this Art Deco lamp that she actually posted it on her Instagram twice, once like this and once when it was finally hanging in situ. She captioned this image: "Cannot wait to get this baby up! #artdeco #pretty"
Clearly a fan of old school glamour Jessie has these prints of Marilyn Monroe on one of her walls. The repetitive print is in a Pop Art style, similar to that of Andy Warhol’s famed screen prints of the tragic star.
The star has a beautiful garden with a luscious lawn and blossom trees in bloom. She also decorative plinths and hanging baskets giving the outdoor space her trademark quirky style.
As Jessie celebrated her birthday she revealed some of the amazing gifts she had been given by friends, including a selection of crystals, miniature glass vases and vintage lamps.
Jessie’s taste for the bright and bold was revealed even more when she displayed a stunning bouquet of flowers in front of some blue patterned tiles from a room inside her house.
