Which way do you hang your loo roll?
While the question seems simple enough, it’s sparked furious debate on Facebook.
On the Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It Facebook page, cleaning enthusiasts squabbled about which method is best.
While some like to pull paper from the front of the roll, others prefer when the loose end is behind it.
In the group, a member shared snaps of both of the toilet techniques.

And by the looks of the response, the majority of people prefer to have their loo roll at the front of the roll.
One commenter remarked: “Definitely the first photo (where the toilet paper is over).
“Bad manners to use it the other away around.”
Another agreed: “Always over. Who does it the other way?”
Despite this, others believe it’s better to have loose loo roll behind the holder.
A Facebook user argued: “The right one (under) means you’re more generous.”

Mrs Hinch fans struggled to agree on an answer – so they may want to listen to the opinion of consumer organisation CHOICE.
The company weighed in on the debate earlier this year, when they issued what they said was the last word on the argument.
CHOICE have unearthed the patent documents from September 1891 – and they show bog roll inventor Seth Wheeler’s diagrams of his invention.
Plans clearly reveal that Seth was ‘Team Over" – which suggests those pulling loo roll from "under" are doing it wrong.
Well, that’s settled then…
