Nothing like a lockdown to get your lover out of lockup.

Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Shereé Whitfield has reunited with her boyfriend, Tyrone Gilliams, after he was released from prison amid the Coronavirus pandemic, TMZ reported Wednesday.

The pair of lovebirds have been spending lots of quality time together, mostly in Philadelphia, according to the website.

Whitfield, 51, is reportedly helping Gilliams acclimate to normal life after nearly 8 years behind bars, such as catching up on the latest technology.

Gilliams, a Philly native who told TMZ he was released from prison in Kentucky last week over COVID-19 concerns, had been sentenced to 10 years in prison for wire fraud in October 2013.

He and his lawyer were convicted of stealing more than $5 million from investors, including a scheme involving a purported investment in U.S. Treasury Strips, according to Reuters.

Gilliams, who portrayed himself as a philanthropist, was charged with misappropriating much of the investors’ funds for personal gain including luxury cars, jewelry, travel.

The incarceration at first caused the couple to break up, but they reportedly got back together in 2016 and Whitfield began visiting him in prison.

The reality TV star opened up to Page Six about dating a boyfriend behind bars in January 2018, telling us, “It’s very unconventional and something new for me.”

She added that she felt it was “kinda cute and romantic” and almost like a love story because they communicate with “love letters.”

“The positives of dating an incarcerated man, for me is, I really feel like I got to know him on a deeper level. A lot of times relationships are built on physical and a lot of times they don’t work,” she had said. “People don’t take the time to get to know each other, or communicate, or talk. We do all of that. We don’t have anything else to do but communicate.”’ allowfullscreen=’true’ style=’border:0;’ sandbox=’allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation’>

But when things went south with his appeal, they stopped seeing each other. Fortunately, with his early release, they were able to rekindle their relationship.

As for what their future holds, Gillians says he sees himself getting married to Whitfield but has no plans to get engaged just yet.

Whitfield’s rep did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
