Aldi, Lidl, B&M and Poundland are some of the best retailers for bargains in Britain, which means that they are often bustling with people. There are however quieter times to shop at these stores, as well as the best times to find their bargain buys.

The best times to shop in Aldi for reduced items are when shops open.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 percent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”

Opening times vary from shop to shop, but the majority of Aldi stores open at 7am or 8am.

Your best chance to get your hands on Aldi Specialbuys is early in the morning too, but these items go on sale only on Thursdays and Sundays every week.

Specialbuys are also available to buy online, and you can even order them in advance.

This is a good idea as some popular Specialbuys sell out in minutes when back in stock.

Like Aldi, Lidl also reduces their items at the start of every day.

Lidl usually cuts the prices of its products by around 30 percent near the time of their use-by dates, reported The Sun.

As well as food items, the supermarket has Middle of Lidl products, which include a variety of products from homeware to gardening tools.

These product ranges go on sale every Thursday and Sunday and there are often money-off deals available.

If you want to avoid crowds, the quietest time to shop at Lidl is between 9pm and 10pm.

Fans of B&M have previously said on Facebook that Wednesday is the best day to find bargains at the discount store.

However, reductions happen on other days too.

Food, pet items, and cleaning products are reduced on Tuesdays, while there is a big clearance sale usually on Fridays.

Staff start to cut items’ prices in the mornings, therefore its best to reach your local B&M store as it opens.

B&M employees told The Sun that footfall is at its lowest in stores at 3pm and 6pm.

Therefore, these are the best times to visit stores if you want to avoid crowds.

Poundland reduces the price of items to 50p if their best-before dates expire that day.

Additionally, any food item that is unsold by 4pm will be reduced again to 25p.

Every Poundland store is restocked daily, and so it is best to get to stores early if you want to get your hands on the most popular items.
