Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik became the proud parents of an adorable little girl four months ago.
However, it has taken until now for the supermodel to reveal her daughter’s name.
The blonde bombshell took to Instagram to alter her Instagram bio to simply read “Khai’s mom.”

But why did Gigi and her One Direction star beau choose this gorgeous-sounding moniker?
Well, according to sources the name is of Egyptian origin, is more commonly a boy's name and means "The chosen one, royalty or nobility."
However others online have explained that it also means "crowned" in Arabic which is not dissimilar to the prior definitions.
Gigi's father Mohamed Hadid is from Palestine, whereas Zayn is of British-Pakistani origin.
A few fans on Twitter noticed that there were some clues to the name beforehand.

For instance Zayn reportedly had a tattoo of 'Khai' on his wrist written in Arabic, and the family's car number plate also begins with the the initials: GZK.
Back in September 2020, Zayn revealed on Twitter that their little girl had arrived into the world.
He wrote: "Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful. To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task.
"The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x".
Gigi later followed suit on her own page by writing: "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she's already changed our world. So in love."

The couple are clearly besotted with little Khai, however like many new parents they are sturggling to get forty winks.
In celebration of Zayn's birthday recently, the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star Yolanda Hadid, wrote: "Team No Sleep !
"Happiest birthday to our Zaddy baba. So special. Love you long time, thank you for makin me a mamma to the best girl ever Wish you the best every single day."
