One of Kate Middleton and Princess Beatrice’s favourite dress brands The Vampire’s Wife has unveiled a collaboration with high street store H&M.
The British label, which was launched by former model Suzie Cave in 2014, is famed for pretty prairie dresses infused with a dose of gothic glam, which are frequently spotted on red carpets.
It is beloved by royals and has developed a cult following over the last six years, with celebrity fans including Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller, Cate Blanchett and Keira Knightley.
The limited edition line, which will be available online and in stores on October 22, promises to be ‘progressive in both attitude and fabrication’, with whimsical dresses and gothic capes amoung the pieces for sale from just £9.99.

The Vampire’s Wife x H&M collection is made from sustainably sourced materials, utilizing recycled nylon and polyester.
The collection was turned around turning the Covid-19 pandemic and will be available for fashion fans to buy shortly before Halloween.
According to H&M the collection is ‘bold and feminine’, featuring a mix of gothic lace dresses with chic velvet and silvery capes.
Statement pieces include the lace mystique mini dress with signature shoulders, the velvety mini dress with sensual pussy-bow and the romantic silvery lace cape.

Accessorizes are whimsical with charm necklaces, bracelets and ear cuffs featuring eye, cloud and vampire teeth iconography.
Meanwhile classic black dominates the collection for an invitingly mysterious feel, with shimmery black lace, opulent button cuffs and rich velvet textures adding to the luxurious tone.
While prices ordinarily start at £350 for dresses, the H&M line will offer fashionistas a chance to buy pieces for a fraction of that.
Dresses range from an affordable £19.99 to £49.99, while fashion fans can also pick up accessories from the brand for just £9.99.

The designer Suzie explained: ‘It was a great honour to be asked to be the designer and the creative director of The Vampire’s Wife’s collaboration with H&M.
‘H&M went to extraordinary lengths to bring the dark and sensual world of The Vampire’s Wife to life.
‘I hope the collection gives as much joy to thsoe who wear it as it did for me to create it.’
Meanwhile she told Vogue that the collection felt like ‘an act of magic’ and said it was an honour to follow in the footsteps of previous collaborations, which have included Karl Lagerfeld and Giambattista Valli.

She explained: ‘H&M took great pains to find the very essence of what The Vampire’s Wife is about, and then realised my dreams to my exact specifications.
‘To design a dress at The Vampire’s Wife and get it through to the finish line is extremely difficult, miraculous really, as we are a small company. H&M is extraordinarily powerful in that respect.’
The brand takes its name from an unfinished novel by Suzie’s husband Nick Caves, and the clothes provide a wardrobe befitting such a title.

The ensemble closely resembled the green dress by the same designer that Princess Beatrice wore to Ellie Goulding’s wedding last September.

Beatrice wore a £1,695 ‘The Veneration’ tiered silk-blend lamé dress by The Vampire’s Wife to the singer’s nuptials at York Minster Cathedral last year.
News of the collabration comes days after it emerged H&M will shut 250 stores worldwide amid the Covid-19 bloodbath on the high street, with 195,331 job losses now announced by major British employers since the start of lockdown in March.
The clothing retailer is not yet disclosing details on the number of job losses or store closures in the UK that are expected to take place as a result of the plan.
