Following her five years on EastEnders, Michelle’s career catapulted from the UK to America.
Michelle starred in TV shows Jekyll, Merlin, Doctor Who and American show Bionic Woman.
She also starred in Hollywood movie 4.3.2.1 as well as flicks such as The Man Inside, Cockneys vs Zombies and Girl Walks Into A Bar.
Most recently it was announced that Michelle Ryan would be returning for a second series of Doctor Who saga Lady Christina.

According to site Doctor Who News, Lady Christina de Souza will discover historical treasures and grapple with difficult family decisions.
Michelle reportedly said of her role: "Lady Christina is someone who's very capable and independent. Like a cat, she does have nine lives, I really think. People seem to really respond to her.
"It's so great to put her boots back on, and get back in the studio and have a little play. Everyone's bringing their A-game. The writing's really good. I've really had a brilliant time.
The audio programme Lady Christina series 2 features three new stories, and Michelle appears once more alongside her original co-star Warren Brown, which is available on Big Finish for £16.99.
