If you’ve stained your containers, there’s no need to fret.

Lynsey, a social media influencer known as the “Queen of Clean”, shared a hack to get the plastic boxes looking as good as new.

On her Instagram story, she revealed that bicarbonate of soda does the trick.

As her containers had been stained by leftover curry, she let the cupboard staple go to work.

Lynsey mixed a spoonful of bicarbonate soda with boiling water, before leaving the mixture to soak for a few hours.

This was all it took to clear out the plastic gleaming – and she didn’t even need to scrub at it.

The Queen of Clean told her Instagram followers: “This came back with us from the curry house last night because Jake had a portion that was far too big so he brought it back for one of his sisters – which was lovely of him.

“This was very orange – and after lots of washing up liquid it was still orange.

“So what I’ve done is put bicarbonate of soda in that and boiled water from the kettle.”

After leaving the cheap concoction to soak, Lynsey revealed the results.

Happy that all the stains had lifted, she remarked: “It’s orange free, which is great”.

This isn’t the only cleaning tip that Lynsey’s spoken about recently.

Often, she shares her household hacks on ITV’s This Morning.
